This month's Full Moon is on Saturday, October 31st at 10:49 am (EDT) at 8º 38' of Taurus, opposite the Sun in Scorpio. The dynamic between the opposing signs of Scorpio (Sun) and Taurus (Moon) is sensing the physical realm and the unseen realm. Desire to find balance in the energy of the two opposing signs may be amplified under the Full Moon energy. Many things make this Full Moon unique, including its conjunction with the planet Uranus (also at 8º of Taurus), it's a Blue Moon and it's on Halloween/Samhain (Full Moons on October 31st occur roughly every 19 years)! Uranian energy is eccentric and surprising just like the characteristics of this Full Moon. Another interesting factor is the Sun's opposition to Uranus, which occurs only once a year. Sun/Uranus energy, along with the Moon/Uranus energy, can be very unpredictable, rebellious and unusual. Interest in esoteric studies and Intuitive Arts may be highlighted. The planet Venus rules over this Full Moon; Venus recently entered the sign of Libra, and Retrograde Mercury re-entered Libra almost simultaneously. The planet Mars is still Retrograde in Aries as well. Relationships, equality, individuation and fairness may be illuminated with distinctive forms of expression.

When the Moon was new in Taurus (April 22nd), also under Uranian influence, I wrote about how we're bring challenged to innovate and create change for the greater good of humanity. The main theme was securing change. Six months later, this theme has culminated, and it's now time to reflect back and on how you've embraced the changes and challenges of this historic year, how you've stepped outside of your comfort zone and what new relationship you may have to change and instability. Has there been opportunity to be more unique and more yourself?

Patchouli is the signature oil for the zodiac sign of Scorpio. It's incredibly grounding and can assist with meditation and energetic protection. Rose is the signature oil for the zodiac sign of Taurus. Rose is so beautifully soothing and sensual. Patchouli and Rose blend well together with the Patchouli enhancing the earthy and deeper notes of Rose's aroma. When blended, they truly exude a wonderful balance between Scorpio and Taurus energies. I added German Chamomile to the blend in correspondence to the energy of this Full Moon, and because it too is very grounding and soothing. With all the Uranian sparks and unpredictable energy, a grounding and soothing blend should feel supportive.
