Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse in Gemini - Adapting to New Consciousness

Gemini Dream digital artwork by Shadowlea

“A belief is a thought we keep having over and over.”

― Andrew Lutts, How to Live a Magnificent Life: Becoming the Living Expression of Higher Consciousness

This month's Full Moon is on Monday, November 30th at 4:30 am (EST) at 8º 38' of Gemini, opposite the Sun in Sagittarius. The duality of the opposing signs of Gemini (Moon) and Sagittarius (Sun) is ideas maturing into beliefs. Finding balance in the energy of the two opposing signs may be amplified under the Full Moon energy. This Full Moon is also a Lunar Eclipse, the 5th of the 6 eclipses of this year. The planet Mercury rules over this Full Moon, still journeying through the sign of Scorpio (since September); an extra long sojourn due to the October/November Retrograde. The planet Venus is also currently in the sign of Scorpio. I find this intriguing as both planets were at the same degree of Gemini during the Gemini New Moon back in May of this year. I called that New Moon the Soul's Twin Flames, The Mind and the Heart, and discussed processing ideas and information with the Heart and the Body rather than the Mind. Now the two planets are in the same zodiac terroir again, both impressionable Morning Stars, asking us to apply a healthy dose of truth serum to our thoughts and values before allowing them to sink into our being. Emotional discernment, evaluation and analysis are required before an idea or thought solidifies into a conviction. Six months later, the same themes are ripe, and it's now time to reflect back on processing ideas and information into our consciousness, and to move forward with a surrender of anything that's inhibiting a shift into this new consciousness on the horizon.

Gemini Full Moon Astrological Aromatherapy Blend

Basil Sweet (Ocimum basilicum)

Black Pepper (Piper nigrum)

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)

Basil Sweet is the signature oil for the zodiac sign of Gemini. Its herbaceous aroma is very much like the plant, and it can assist with mental focus and relieving stress caused by intense emotions. Black Pepper is the signature oil for the zodiac sign of Sagittarius. Black Pepper is zesty and energizing, inspiring movement and circulation of energy. It can also help relieve an upset stomach, which pairs well with our current season of celebration and indulgence! Basil Sweet and Black Pepper blend well together with the Black Pepper adding warmth and depth to the Basil's sharper notes. This energizing blend is good for moving energy, especially with intention and focus. I added Lavender to the blend in correspondence to the energy of this Full Moon, and because it is very calming. My intention with this blend is to create a flow state in which the energy in motion (emotion) can be honored and released with grace and ease.

Note: This blend is not for topical use. Basil and Black Pepper can be irritating to the skin.

This blend is for diffuser or water-based spray use only.

There's still time to purchase the blend, and it can be ordered here.

Eclipses and Dragon Energy

Eclipses occur when the South Node of the Moon, or the North Node of the Moon, are within a window of degrees near the Sun. The South Node of the Moon is also known as Ketu, or the dragon's tail, and the North Node of the Moon is also known as Rahu, or the dragon's head. Read more about the Vedic myth and about these energies here. When eclipses are near, so are the dragon elementals. My Astrology teacher calls the two weeks between, or the space between, eclipses dragon holes! Currently, the South Node of the Moon is in the sign of Sagittarius and the North Node of the Moon is in the sign of Gemini, which is why Monday's Full Moon (Sun opposite Moon) is a Lunar Eclipse, and the Sagittarius New Moon (Sun at the same degree as the Moon) on December 14th will be a Solar Eclipse. Eclipse energy can be chaotic, can foster unexpected change and should be honored. Energetic protection is recommended during eclipse seasons. 6 eclipses in a calendar year isn't the norm. Our year began with an eclipse in mid-January, followed by 3 during the summer, and now we're winding down this tumultuous year with the final 2. Pay attention to subtle signs or things that may come into your awareness or happen that may seem or feel out of the blue; these could be things encouraging tacking to get more and more in alignment with your soul's journey.

The South Node in Sagittarius themes are releasing limiting beliefs and shedding beliefs that are holding us back from growth, and the North Node in Gemini is welcoming new ideas to fill the excavation of the old. The soul lesson is discernment and using all of our senses and intuitions to determine truth, in particular before an idea grows roots that are too deep. Endless amounts of information are still swirling around the collective consciousness, and part of the challenge is to see through the illusions and anything that is intentionally deceiving, even if those things have been intertwined with, or at the root of our personal and collective belief systems. Tuning into Source and higher consciousness in this process can be helpful. These two meditations (click the linked text) by Diana Cooper are wonderful for working with our 5d chakras and the energy of the Golden Atlantean Dragons of the oracle card I pulled for this Full Moon/Eclipse energy.

An excerpt of the guidance for this dragon is below:

"This card invites you to activate your own personal fifth-dimensional blueprint, for it contains the light of the incredible era of Golden Atlantis. The Golden Atlantean dragon who has come to you now worked directly with all the great masters of Atlantis during the halcyon days and remembers exactly who you truly are."

A significant part of the recent Mars Retrograde experience was to remember who we are, and a focus of the energies this entire year has been to heal our identities through authenticity and vulnerability.

For more resources and information about the upcoming energetic shift, the Mars Retrograde and more, check out my interviews here. Full Moons are times of release and gratitude, and eclipses amplify this energy. Also, remember that the best way to work with the eclipses is to know where the Gemini/Sagittarius axis is in your own chart!
